How to Use:
🥄 1. Use a sieve
Always sift your matcha before whisking to break up any clumps. This helps it dissolve better and makes the whisking easier.
🍵 2. Water matters
Use hot—but not boiling—water. Ideal temperature: 75–85°C (167–185°F). Too hot, and the matcha turns bitter.
🧹 3. The “W” motion
Don’t stir in circles! Use a quick back-and-forth “W” or “M” motion with your bamboo whisk (chasen). This creates air and helps form that signature creamy froth.
⏱️ 4. Whisk briskly for 15–30 seconds
You want to go fast and light—like you're whisking egg whites, not pushing the matcha around.
🌬️ Optional: Pre-warm your tools
Soak the whisk in warm water for a minute before using to soften the bamboo and help prevent breakage.
